NONPROFIT INFORMATION

The Courthouse Jazz Series is seeking local, non-profits and charities to partner, be featured and benefit from an evening within the series. The series will take place the fourth Friday of every month starting on May 23rd, 2008 from 5 to 8 pm. This is the perfect time of year for a great, outdoor, community event; the weather is ideal, the natural light stunning and the outdoor ambience of the Courthouse unbeatable.

 

The Courthouse Jazz Series will be held at the Sunken Gardens of the historic Santa Barbara County Courthouse. This is a National Landmark stop for visitors and locals alike, conveniently located in the heart of downtown and within walking distance from many city and county offices and businesses.  The series will host various local & regional Jazz ensembles spanning Blues, Contemporary and R & B.  The Courthouse Jazz Series is open to the public FREE OF CHARGE. 

 

Central to its function, each week the Courthouse Jazz Series will feature and benefit a different non-profit or charity.  The open venue and free admission will provide the entire community an opportunity to enjoy Santa Barbara’s beautiful surroundings while listening to great musicians and supporting Santa Barbara’s vital non-profit’s and charities. Each week a guaranteed portion of the proceeds will go directly to the featured non-profit making everyone’s involvement worthy to the cause.

 

Partnering with the Courthouse Jazz Series as a non-profit or charity will provide you with additional exposure to the local community without the hassle and cost of putting on your own event.  We will take care of all the event planning and promotion and only ask that you assist with volunteers and promotional support.  You will help enhance a great, culturally enriching and fulfilling community event that all Santa Barbarans can participate in, creating awareness and support for your organization at a local level.
